Ship’s Log 11-16-07
We’ve sold the house, selling the SUV, giving away the zippy car, sold all the recording studio equipment, gave away or thrown away a life time of stuff & moved aboard our sailing home. We’ve stuffed in all our precious stuff ‘til our water line has gone down a few inches & installed enough gadgets to launch the space shuttle. We are now less than two weeks from beginning our 6 year cruise which we had planned to depart on Nov 1st.
I have added ‘Ship’s Log’ web section to describe all the work that we’ve done so far to prepare our ship for world cruising, all of our past adventures & soon our new logs describing our new sailing adventures. Click above on Current log, Past Logs or Boat work for the full story. The amount of work required to outfit a boat for world cruising is worlds away from recreational boating. No one other than another world cruiser has any idea the work required. I’ve often tried to explain the work we’ve done so far but before I could even scratch the tip of the ice burg of work their eyes glaze over…but we’ve got hundreds of land locked souls who’d really like to escape the rat race; if they only knew how much hard work it is just to escape, perhaps they’d enjoy their rat race more contently:-)
