Painted Cave - Santa Cruise
This is the worlds bigest sea cave. It's quite a rush. As soon as you nose your kayak in we heard the haunting barks of the seals at the back of the cave, the sounds echoed endlessly thoughout the cave & along with the low gutteral moans of the sea getting trapped in the caves air pockets. On our first trip there we anchored just long enough to visit the cave very precariously in 65' feet of water in a tiny crack amoung the shear walls around the bend from the cave. On our 2cd visit we motored slowly just in front of the cave.
